I write to invite you to attend a meeting of the Haling Dene Management Committee to be held on Thursday 25th May 2023 at 7.00 pm in Room 16 at the Haling Dene Centre.

Part I – Public Session

 

Members of the Council and Public in attendance to declare if they are video/audio recording the meeting.

  1. CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN

[a]     To elect the Chairman of the Haling Dene Management Committee

[b]     To elect the Vice Chairman of the Haling Dene Management Committee.

 

  1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

4       DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTEREST (DPI)

 

  1. MINUTES

[a]     To approve the minutes of the meeting of 23rd March 2023 and to consider matters arising therefrom.

[b]    To receive the Follow Up Sheet from the March meeting.

 

  1. INCOME/EXPENDITURE

[a]    To note that the Haling Dene Management printouts for the year to date will be included on the June Full Council agenda.

[b]     To receive the Functions/Bookings list for the year to date.

 

  1. HALING DENE CENTRE

[a]    To note that Planning Permission was granted for the tree works and M Bissell Trees and Hedges undertook the work on 5th May as per the approved quotation at the 23rd March meeting.

[b]    To receive the HDC Monthly Inspection Report for May.

[c]     To note that Staffordshire County Council Leasing have extended the van lease for an additional 12 months expiring in May 2024.

[d]    To receive and consider a quotation from TJB Properties Services to replace the Fire Door in Room 29 at a cost of £800.

[e]     To receive and consider a quotation from P B Wright to supply and fitted a hard wood replacement window in Room 32 at a cost of £1,000.

 

 

  1. HALING DENE CENTRE [Cont’d]

[f]      To receive and consider an email dated 27th March from TJB Property Services with regard to the automatic door closer at the top of the stairs.

[g]    To receive and consider a quotation from A Ghent and Son, SCC recommended, to have a tow bar fitted to the van at a cost of £395 plus VAT.

[h]     To note that Age UK will no longer have Exclusive rooms at the Haling Dene Centre.

 

  1. DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING

Thursday 27th July 2023 at 8.30 pm.

 

  1. Local Government Act 1972 – Exclusion of Press and Public – to resolve that the Press and Public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in the appropriate paragraph(s) Section 1[2] Public Bodies/Admission to meetings Act 1960.
