I write to invite you to attend a meeting of the Haling Dene Management Committee to be held on
Thursday 25th January 2024 at 8.30 pm in Room 11 at the Haling Dene Centre.

Part I – Public Session
Members of the Council and Public in attendance to declare if they are video/audio recording the
meeting.

3 DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTEREST (DPI)
4 . MINUTES
[a] To approve the minutes of the meeting of 26th October 2023 and to consider matters arising
therefrom.
[b] To receive the Follow Up Sheets from the October meeting.
5. INCOME/EXPENDITURE
[a] To receive the Haling Dene Management printouts for the year to date.
6. HALING DENE CENTRE
[a] To receive the Function list for 2024 to date.
[b] To note AGE UK are moving into the second floor of the building from 1st March.
[c] To approve the PA’s action in conjunction with the Chair of Council and Chair of Haling Dene to
undertake the roof work following the fallen tree during the Christmas holidays by TJB Properties at a
cost of £1,332 plus VAT.
[d] To receive and consider a quotation from TJB Properties to undertake work to the building following a
damp survey at a cost of £661.61 plus VAT.
7. CHRISTMAS MARKET & LIGHTING
[a] To consider if the Council wish to hold the Christmas Market at the Haling Dene this year.
[b] To receive the PA’s update following the Christmas Lights event.
8. MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUP
[a] To note a Mother and Toddlers group started at the Haling Dene on Tuesday 23rd January for a six
week trail. To consider the Council not charging the Group for the room hire as it is a Community
Event.
9. HALING DENE EVENTS 2024
[a] To consider what events the Committee wish to hold for the forthcoming year.
10. DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING
Thursday 28th March 2024 at 7.00 pm.
11. Local Government Act 1972 – Exclusion of Press and Public – to resolve that the Press and Public be
excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that
they are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in the appropriate
paragraph(s) Section 1[2] Public Bodies/Admission to meetings Act 1960.
